Throughout the month of February The Printing Museum showed some LOVE for our members. Our members’ investment in the Museum displays their love and commitment to our mission, vision and service to the community. They are a vital source of our success, and we wanted to celebrate them. To show our appreciation, we have set February and August as MEMBER RECOGNITION MONTHS. During these months, we will highlight a member each week; host exclusive events/activities; and showcase the Museum through an open house event.
If you aren’t already a member, consider joining and start enjoying all of the benefits of membership, including free general admission (beginning March 3, 2015), workshop and gift shop discounts, and special member events. If you have any questions about membership with The Printing Museum, please email us at [email protected]. Thank you for your support and continued commitment to The Printing Museum! NANCY LUTON
Nancy Luton grew up in Granbury, Texas, a small town south of Fort Worth. She was introduced to print by her aunt and uncle who owned a newspaper, the Hood County News-Tablet. “As a little kid, I used go to the shop and listen to the Linotype machine and watch them set type and be there on press day, which was Thursday, and get the newspaper out,” stated Nancy. “This is where I got printer’s ink in my blood.” Read more about Nancy's experience as a member of The Printing Museum. |
MEMBER HIGHLIGHTS
PETER & CECILIA LUDWIG
Peter and Cecilia Ludwig’s enthusiastic love for books, history and maps led them to stumble on a hidden treasure, The Printing Museum. “I like the letters, the words and the design…absolutely everything about printing and publishing. I love the written word on paper. That is how we became involved with the Museum in the late 1990s.” Read more about the Ludwigs' experiences as members of The Printing Museum. |
